The Rooster and the Gem

This started out as another study, but I ended up developing it more fully.

I always thought the rooster in this fable had the right idea. Given the choice between something of no practical purpose and hypothetical value to someone else, and something of immediate material value, which one is the wiser decision? You can't eat wealth.
